Welcome to my page! I’m Afeefa Raza, a passionate broadcast journalist graduate. In my journey I have been fortunate enough to gain experiences in variety of different outlets. From producing compelling TV and radio packages to exploring a variety of journalistic treatments during newsdays at university.
My work extends beyond my studies. At Crescent Radio in Rochdale, I host a weekday show focused on current affairs and their influence on young adults. I’ve also gained valuable experience through a placement at Radio News Hub, contributing to news bulletins broadcasted to over 400 radio stations across the UK. I’m dedicated to bringing important stories to life and leaving a mark in communities.
I am currently undertaking my masters degree in International Journalism at City, University of London so taking my coverage across the globe. I am proud to be studying at City as it is number 1 in the UK for journalism and many successful journalists are alumni of City. I am lucky enough to have achieved a scholarship with the Aziz Foundation who provide funding in key areas where British muslims are underrepresented. The scholarship has provided me with some amazing opportunities within journalism and the British society.
